(A-E) The expression of VEGF and ANTPGL-4 as well as HIF-1α protein remarkably increased with exposure of MIO-M1 cells to 1% O₂ Hypoxia 48 hours (H) in comparison with 20% O₂ normoxic conditions (N). Brief hypoxia exposure for 2 hours before prolonged hypoxia (HP+H) insult significantly reduced the expression of VEGF and ANGPTL-4. The induction of HIF-1α was also significantly suppressed by brief HP for 2 hours (n=4 per group).
